a dark sad day for sweden

.3955

Jag förstår inte att det här händer. Jag har haft en klump i magen hela dagen.

Yesterday a far-right party with roots in the neo-nazi movement made it into the Swedish parliament. It makes me sick to my stomach.
NY Times article.

  1. I heard about this the other day. What a tragedy! This far-right movement is definitely not limited to the U.S. It seems to be spreading. :-(

  3. Sweden has always seemed so progressive to me, it's hard to believe this happening. But I've heard so many like you who are unhappy about it so maybe you all will turn it around in the future.

  6. I know. crises terrify people and there's always a tendency to the right (fear-inducing) parties...
sadly enough, we humans are just very very stupid creatures.

but, then again, they are always the minority and we should never give in fighting stupidity.

common sense will prevail. specially in sweden :)

  7. I don't know anything about this particular party in Sweden, but to equate Nazis with Conservatives is unfair and inaccurate. The conservative movement in the US at this time is in opposition to high taxes and overly expensive, cumbersome and intrusive federal government. What is so "scary" about that?
