3 x breakfast
Breakfast is my favorite meal. Some days the anticipation of a good breakfast is the only thing that will get me out of bed. I always have eggs in some form, except when I plan to eat omelet for lunch, but I try to change the "side dishes" a little every day to keep it interesting. Right now I'm eating a lot of salami on finn crisp, as you can see. What do you eat for breakfast?

At the moment, lots of salami on whole grain bread, as well! ;) The alternative: toasted bread, butter, jam an milk! mmmm :P
ReplyDeleteI love breakfast too. Every day i drink kefir. Love it. Omelet is my other favorite, i always pack mushrooms and herbs inside. And of course fresh bread with butter and tea.. It made me hungry;))

ReplyDeleteMy current favorite has been oatmeal with jam, dried fruit, and nuts as cold weather is approaching.
ReplyDeleteBut usually I start the day with a smoothie and maybe some pancakes or crepes.
Your post is making me hungry! These pictures are really beautiful; you're such a good photographer :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite meal is also breakfast but i guess i'm so lazy and busy lately to have a proper and good breakfast. But it's great to see that you appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteYum, this looks amazing. I love celebrating each breakfast, too. I usually eat a slice of bread and cereals. And I always have a cup of coffee, of course.
ReplyDeleteAlways a sandwich of brown bread, and a cup of French Earl Grey, the best tea there is. It's addictive. Sometimes cereal if we don't have bread.
ReplyDeletethese look amazing. i gotta get some fin crisps.
ReplyDeletei usually eat a combination of the following: a poached egg, a banana, a yogurt
I wholeheartedly agree! Breakfast is my favourite meal too and it's always a big one! I can eat anything from brown rice and tofu to scrambled eggs - I'm always starving after my morning exercise :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Hilda. Seeing these great breakfasts you make, I wanted to ask you about your low-carb diet with which you lost 20 kilos..that is really impressive. How long did it take you? And is it really that simple to find foods with not more than 5 per 100 carbohydrates? Would you recommend it, and are you still doing it? I would love to hear from you. Until then, bon appetit!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is the best meal of the day! I have a mini dream of owning a restaurant which just serves breakfast all day. I think it is more about having a place where I could eat it for every meal.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: It took me about five months, the first three on a super strict diet and the last two not as strict. I would definitely recommend it, it worked great for me. I realized how addicted I was to sugar, and that all carbs are essentially sugar. I read several books on the low-carb high fat diet and it changed my whole view on food and what's good for your body and how it works. The idea is you switch your body's "fuel" from carbs to fat, and let your hormones work their magic. But I naïvely thought that I could start to eat carbs slowly again and my sugar addiction would be gone. That didn't happen. As soon as I eat carbs, I crave more. I struggle with this every day, because it can be tiring to constantly have to think about what you're eating and sometimes it can be hard to keep the diet when you eat with other people. But now that I have lost most of my overweight, I have found that as long as I keep my regular meals relatively carb free, I can allow myself a treat now and then without falling apart. If you want to try a low-carb high fat diet, I suggest you read some literature about how it work in your body first. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is great to hear! And literature is definetely a must for a serious diet like this. I will give it a try, thank you so much for your feedback Hilda :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos, a salways :-) My breakfast is a typical Italian one: 2 slices of toasted bread with wild fruits jam or 4-5 biscuits and tea; sometimes also 1 glass of apple juice and 2 cups of tea, esp. during week-ends! (I just cannot succeed in eating salty food at breakfast)Have a nice week-end!
ReplyDeleteAmazingly beautiful photos as ever! Breakfast works like a treat to me. I often wonder, is anything better than having pie/sandwich/chocolate right after waking up?
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Your breakfasts look so yumy! :3 I'm impressed by your photos. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
ReplyDeleteMy breakfast is usually a big glass of home made juice or smoothie following the seasons. Autumn-winter time I drink usually these:
ReplyDelete- apple + water
- grapefruit + lemon + 1 teaspoon honey + water
- kale/spinach/swiss chard + banana + apple + a touch of lemon juice + water
- kale/spinach/swiss chard + apple + water
Later in the morning at work I usually eat fruit and drink a cup of tea. That's all I eat until lunch.
why do your sandwiches always look nicer than mine? they always make me so happy :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I saw you in a magazine and really interested about your lifestyle =)
ReplyDeleteThe thing is I always wander about that drink k k

And If you make it yourself How can you make it ?

This could be a silly question
