    Hilda! Meant to leave Chicago recommendations on your last post, but just plain forgot.

    Thrifting and ready to dig:
    • Unique Thrift (4445 North Sheridan Road)
    • Village Discount (2032 N Milwaukee Ave) and Family Thrift (2160 North Milwaukee Avenue)
    • The Brown Elephant (5404 North Clark Street)
    • The Salvation Army (2151 West Devon Avenue)

    Favorites, off the top of my head:
    • Big Star: for tacos, magaritas, sitting in the sun, and people watching
    • Star Lounge: great coffee and cool ambience
    • Sprout Home: wonderful plants and inspiring space
    • Music Box Theatre: to catch an old film
    • The Publican or The Fountainhead: both with long beer lists and excellent small plates
    • Lula Cafe: for brunch (but prepared for a bit of a wait)

    I think you'll love it as much as you did before—six years, and I still do. xx
