I always get mixed feelings when I develop a new roll of film. On the one hand, I am always disappointed because the frames I had the most hopes in never turn out the way I thought. But on the other hand, the most unexpected frames often turn out to be the best. I am far from happy with these shots from Kyoto, but I guess they are charming in their own way.

  3. I agree with Shinya! These are lovely!

But I get what you mean about shots turning out differently than what you expected. It's always a surprise when you get a roll developed!

  5. I've had that same experience. You never know what you're going to get with film, but it's always fun finding out! Anyways, I love how these photos turned out!

  6. I recently have unearthed my parent's old film camera but am a little scared of using it. :\

I love the first photograph - it feels soft and bright at the same time.
