vanilla buns

In Tokyo, Andrea and I had vanilla buns/twists/horns/rolls almost every day. There was a bakery on every corner and they smelled too good to resist. Yesterday I couldn't handle my vanilla bun craving any longer and decided to make my own. They weren't as good as the Tokyo ones, but still delicious. I accidentally made them too small, but that just means it's okay to take two! Recipe here.

Vanilla cream filled buns? Oh these would be perfect for breakfast right now! Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteThnx a lot for the english version of the recipe - they do look delicious! I'll try to make my own soon :) Could you imagine them filled with Lemon Curd, too? I made some a couple of days ago and I'm thinking of other ways to use it up rather than just eat it by the spoonful ;)

A Charmed Life: In the recipe book, they suggest apple sauce, so I'm sure lemon curd works too! I think you should try it!
